What causes dandruff in hair ?

Dandruff is caused by an overgrowth of a yeast-like fungus called Malassezia, which lives on the scalp. This can lead to an increase in skin cells being produced and shedding, resulting in dandruff. Other potential causes include dry skin, sensitivity to hair products, and certain medical conditions such as eczema or psoriasis.
